A lifelong Michigander, Marcus grew up in nearby Troy, where he attended Troy Athens High School, played football and ran track, and met his wife, Tracey. The two went on to Michigan State — Marcus in business and finance, Tracey in nursing — and after a brief stint on Wall Street, the 2008 crisis pulled Marcus home. He spent a few years at a local Edward Jones office helping families set up education trusts before following his mother, Judy, into real estate. As he puts it, besides marrying Tracey, it's the best decision he's ever made.

Known around the office for his early-morning routine — coffee at Cannella's before 7am, then a run through Bloomer Park before his first showing — Marcus built Delaney Realty Group from a two-person startup brokerage into one of Rochester Hills' more recognizable local names. He specializes in move-up buyers and empty nesters across the Rochester Hills, Oakland Township, and Washington Township corridor. He and Tracey have two kids and a golden retriever named Biscuit.
